Experience the skiing areas of the Kitzbühel Alps from 700 metres above sea level, situated in an extremely favourable north-west location, which guarantees snow from December to April and skiing all the way down to the valley. Thanks to the grass cover up to 2,000 metres above sea level – in contrast to the mostly rocky ground in other ski resorts – even relatively small amounts of snow are sufficient for uninterrupted skiing from December to April.
Winters are quite long with a high level of precipitation due to the massive cloud banks that accumulate north of the Alps. These masses of humid air originate in the North Sea and supply the Kitzbühel area with heavy snowfalls and plenty of fresh snow throughout the winter months.
The
St.Johann ski area is ideal for families on skis and snowboards. Enjoy skiing on 42 kilometres of pistes.
Regional delicacies are offered in the 18 ski huts, making a stop for refreshments a special experience.
