Ski-in / Ski-out!
Only 50 m next to the ski lifts and Ski school, you’ll have a perfect start start in your skiing day. Come back for a lunch break and have a little rest in your apartment.
A Ski-dream!
Experience the skiing areas of the Kitzbühel Alps from 700 metres above sea level, situated in an extremely favourable north-west location, which guarantees snow from December to April and skiing all the way down to the valley. Thanks to the grass cover up to 2,000 metres above sea level – in contrast to the mostly rocky ground in other ski resorts – even relatively small amounts of snow are sufficient for uninterrupted skiing from December to April.
Winters are quite long with a high level of precipitation due to the massive cloud banks that accumulate north of the Alps. These masses of humid air originate in the North Sea and supply the Kitzbühel area with heavy snowfalls and plenty of fresh snow throughout the winter months.
Coming December 2026: the Jodlalm Gondola
Our ski area is about to become even more comfortable: for the start of the season on 6 December 2026, the new 10-person „Jodlalm“ gondola lift will begin operating in St. Johann in Tirol. It replaces the ageing double chairlift dating from 1981 – and, for the first time, runs all the way up to the Harschbichl (1,603 m) without a change.
More comfort, less queuing
With a capacity of up to 2,400 people per hour and a journey time of around seven minutes, the new monocable gondola brings a great deal more pace to the ski area. The valley station is being moved to the north-west and the top station positioned right at the summit – noticeably improving the connection to the existing network of pistes. The St. Johann mountain railway company is investing around €22 million in the project, including piste adjustments and ecological compensation measures.
Ideal for families
The biggest gain for our guests with children: on the old two-seater chairlift, youngsters were not allowed to ride on their own – in the enclosed cabins of the new gondola they now can, safely and without any fuss. And in wind or snowfall you will be sitting warm and sheltered. The Jodlalm side of the mountain finally becomes genuinely suitable for families and ski schools.
